Nga Son Vietnamese Cuisine is opening its second Vietnamese restaurant in Markham, at 6061 Hwy 7 just off Markham Road. Same family, same kitchen, same recipes as our Richmond Hill dining room — the one more than 2,000 guests have rated 4.8 stars since 2021.

We cook to a standard we call 3F: fresh ingredients, freshly cooked to order, served straight to your table. It sounds simple. In practice it means broths that simmer in-house for hours rather than being built from a base, herbs cut the same morning, and nothing sitting under a heat lamp waiting for you to arrive.

Finding Us on Hwy 7

Our Vietnamese restaurant in Markham is at 6061 Hwy 7, just off Markham Road, with easy in-and-out from the highway and parking at the door. Markham Village and Unionville are both a short drive, and we deliver across the surrounding neighbourhoods.

Kitchen hours are 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.



What Makes This Vietnamese Restaurant in Markham Different

Most pho places in the GTA serve a good bowl of pho and stop there. Our menu is built around dishes you will struggle to find anywhere else on Highway 7.

Phở Tô Đá, hot stone bowl pho

Pho served in a stone bowl heated until it is still bubbling when it reaches your table, with whole beef short rib or oxtail, tendon, rib-eye and flank. The stone holds the heat right through the meal, so the last spoonful is as hot as the first. Our Richmond Hill regulars named this one themselves; it comes up again and again in their reviews.

Soft-shell crab, two ways

Bún riêu, our crab and tomato noodle soup, and bánh canh cua with its thick, chewy tapioca noodles. Both come with soft-shell crab, which is rare this far north of the city.

Bún Bò Huế Đặc Biệt

The spicy Huế-style beef and pork noodle soup, built on lemongrass and shrimp paste with beef shank and pork hock, and thicker round noodles instead of pho’s flat ones. It is the single most talked-about dish across our reviews, and it is on the Markham menu from day one.

Bánh mì

Grilled pork, beef, chicken or sausage, made to order, on bread with a proper crust. Fourteen dollars with fries and a drink if you are taking it to go, which makes it the easiest way to try us for the first time.

Ordering Ahead, Takeout and Delivery

Dine in and the kitchen sends everything out as it is ready. If you are ordering ahead, call us and we will time it so nothing is sitting when you arrive. For delivery we pack broth and noodles separately, because a bowl of pho that travelled with the noodles already in it is not the bowl we cooked.

The one exception is the hot stone bowl pho. That one we would rather you ate here, for reasons the stone makes obvious.

In 2025 our Richmond Hill kitchen won the Canadian Choice Award for Vietnamese Restaurant. Markham is the same kitchen, the same recipes and the same team. We would rather tell you that plainly than imply a brand-new dining room has already earned something it has not yet had the chance to.

Very much so — high chairs, a kids-friendly menu and tables we can put together for a group. If you are bringing more than six, a quick call ahead will help us seat you together.
